In collaboration with VisionF Yachts, our team was responsible for the complete engineering of the Super Fast 46, a 46-foot high-speed power catamaran built entirely from carbon fiber. This innovative vessel combines state-of-the-art materials with performance-focused naval architecture, and we are proud to have delivered a comprehensive package of engineering solutions that supported its realization.
Our scope included:
Carbon Fiber Composite Lamination Design: We developed the full carbon fiber lamination lay-up plan, including structural analysis, material selection, ply arrangement, and bonding strategies to optimize strength-to-weight performance. The lightweight carbon construction was tailored to ensure structural integrity at high speeds without compromising safety or stiffness.
Resistance Assessment
Stability Calculations: We performed stability assessments in accordance with international standards to verify safe operation under various loading and sea conditions.
Dynamic Trim Assessment: We analyzed the trim behavior of the vessel at various speeds and load conditions. This allowed us to optimize hull running attitude and ensure balanced longitudinal stability during high-speed navigation.
Through this holistic engineering approach — integrating structural composites, hydrodynamics, and vessel dynamics — we helped shape the VisionF Super Fast 46 into a standout example of next-generation marine design. Our contribution ensured that the yacht not only meets its aesthetic and speed goals but also performs safely and efficiently on the water.
